Your adventure begins on Saturday 19 July 2025, with a fast boat ride from Darwin to Wurrumiyanga, the heart of Tiwi Island life. The scenic journey serves as a perfect introduction to the exciting cultural experiences awaiting you. Upon arrival, enjoy a warm welcome, followed by a guided tour of your accommodation and Wurrumiyanga, and a meet-and-greet  with Traditional Owners.

Spend the afternoon at your own pace at the Tiwi Cultural Festival, immersing yourself in the rich artistic heritage of the Tiwi people, then enjoy a night filled with cultural activities, lively celebrations, and electrifying performances. After this unforgettable evening, retreat to the comfort of the Mantiyupwi Motel, where you’ll rest in a king single or double room. Wake up refreshed and ready for the excitement of the next day.

On Sunday, at your own pace, make your way to the Tiwi Islands Annual Footy Final—an exhilarating celebration of community, art, culture, and sport. Experience the fierce competition, vibrant ceremony, and the unique pride of this unforgettable event, steeped in Tiwi traditions.

The final siren will alert you that it’s time to bid farewell to the magic of the Tiwi Islands.  Your boat will return to Darwin, you’ll see the sunset and take home memories from a truly unique weekend.
