Amerigo Vespucci Darwin Sunset Fish 'n Chips Farewell

The "Amerigo Vespucci", described by many as "The most beautiful ship in the world" and one of only a very few genuine tall ships to still be operational today - will end her Darwin visit and depart Darwin harbour on the evening of Monday 7th October 2024. Join us on our signature sunset Fish 'n Chips cruise (with a difference) as we go out and accompany her away from her berth and out into deeper waters.  Departing from Dock 2 at Stokes Hill wharf at 5.30 pm, we expect to be out on the water for 2 hours. We will take up a position to enjoy an uninterrupted view as Amerigo Vespucci manoeuvres away from her berth and makes her way out of the harbour, and making the most of this unique photographic opportunity. Our friendly crew will be happy to serve a range of refreshing beverages from our licenced bar to toast the occasion and accompany a meal of fresh cooked wild-caught Top End Barramundi! Come away with a complimentary wine glass or stubby cooler souvenir to remember the occasion.

Amerigo Vespucci is a fully working training vessel, built in 1930, and with 3 masts, she carries a total of 2824 square metres of canvas between 26 sails! She will be a sight to behold as she makes her regal way out of Darwin harbour.- one stopover on a  20 month, 40 000 mile world tour.
